He was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Terre Haute, to Arthur and Aurdrey (Rost) Nidey.
Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as well as the Vietnam War.
After retiring from the military, he began working as a mail sorter for the United States Post Office and retired in 1989.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, crafts, mushroom hunting and traveling and was great at "honey do lists."
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandy War, and brother Bill Nidey.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, sons Robert Sinclair and wife Becky, and Michael Sinclair, daughters Julie Head and husband Melvin, Pami Keller and husband Eric, and Tami Schneweis and husband Kevin, grandchildren Chastity Sinclair, Tascha Sampson and husband Jarrod, Michaela Sinclair, Levi Sinclair and wife Sara, Michael Sinclair, Adam Sinclair, Christina Sinclair, Brennan Keller, Denton Keller, Kaylee Keller, and Anthony John Schneweis, great-grandchildren Dakota Skylar, Saylor and Dru Sinclair, and Sage, Braxton and Bryar Sampson, nieces Debby McNabb and husband Mike, Cindy Chenowith and husband Wayne and nephew Rick Nidey.
Services will be at French Funeral Home Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at 7 p.m., with visitation from 5-7 p.m. Cremation services will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Way of the Cross Assembly of God.
