Prepping the polls

Democratic Absentee Voter Board member Shirley Vanes prepares the ballot on one of the polling machines in the Election Office Monday, which was the start of early voting in Clay County. Early voting is available Monday-Friday, 8-11 a.m., and noon-4 p.m., through Monday, Nov. 1, and also Oct. 23 and 30 (both Saturdays), from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., in the Election Office, located on the second floor of the Clay County Courthouse. For more information about early voting, or to become a poll worker, call 448-9023.
