The students and staff at Van Buren Elementary conducted a hat day for the Clay County Humane Society recently. They raised $200 for Muffin (pictured with students) and the other animals. Students on hand for the check presentation included (front from left) Cheyenne Markley, Jessica Buckingham, Amaya Jones, Cole Pierce, Isaac Reinoehl, (back) Eden Siples, Anita Hightshoe, Olivia Lundy, Tom Mace, Allison Pell and Jacob Vanatti.
