Fundraiser set for pageant contestant

A fundraiser has been scheduled for Brylee Wallace, the 2010 Miss Indiana Princess.

Wallace will be participating in Nationals at Walt Disney World in November. All proceeds from the upcoming fundraiser will be used toward fees and expenses for the trip.

A luncheon has been scheduled to take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Clay County Courthouse.

Freewill offerings will be accepted.

Food items available will include potato soup, chili, hot dogs, barbecue and various desserts.

Carry-out will be available as well as delivery to Jackson Gardens, Cooper Towers and Meridian Towers. Delivery for a meal will be $5. Call 812-251-4773 for delivery.

Those interested in having a meal delivered should place orders by 1 p.m.

Brylee, 6, is the daughter of Brad and Monica Wallace. She recently won the title of Miss Indiana American Co-ed Princess 2010.

The state pageant took place in Indianapolis in August.

In the national competition, Brylee will have the chance to win cash prizes, which will help her in her future goal of going to college to become a nurse.

She will compete in a talent program and volunteer program.

Brylee volunteers for the Clay County Food Pantry and enjoys helping others.

The American Co-ed Pageant was incorporated in the state of Florida in 1983. Pageants take p lace for single girls, ages 3-22.
