To the Editor:

Job's Daughters is an organization for young women age 10-20-years-old.

We are an international group that is in seven countries.

We help teach young women to be productive women in today's society. We teach young women the skills of leadership, public speaking, character values, love and respect for our parents and elders and respect for God and country.

While doing projects such as collecting money for HIKE (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment), scholarships for college, and other special projects, we also do other projects for fun and service such as painting nails at the nursing home, collect toiletries for shelters and nursing homes, food for pantries, books and stuffed animals for children's hospitals and newspapers and other items for shelters.

Through Job's Daughters, I learned that I could do things that I would never have tried to accomplish. I have also met friends from all over the world. I have learned that guiding young women can be fun and a lot of work. I can say that working with youth has made me learn more about myself and how I would like people see my life in the future.

There are only three Bethels left in our area (Clinton, Knightsville and Terre Haute).

We are always hoping for new members.

Debbi Wilkinson,

Terre Haute
