Special gift

Teachers receive some extra help with classroom expenses. Wal-Mart Employee Laura Sanders, nominated Van Buren Elementary for the Wal-Mart give away. Ten teachers received $100 gift cards and the students received a large cake for snack. Receiving the gift cards include (front, left) first-grade teacher Alison Pond, art teacher Debbie Metz, Kindergarten teacher Megan Mapes, Kindergarten teacher Susan Maurer, fourth-grade teacher Anna Berry, fourth-grade teacher Steve Hoopingarner, fifth-grade teacher Janine Mullinix (back) Wal-Mart employees Melissa Shepard and Laura Sanders, second-grade teacher Brent Vaught and third-grade teacher Derik Tipton.
