The Clay County WIC Program has announced the addition of new foods. Frozen Fruits and vegetables are now included with the fresh fruit and vegetables already available.
Other changes were made on the WIC checks for cereal, juice, milk, cheese, eggs, peanut butter, while grain items (bread, tortillas and brown rice), beans, formula, infant cereal and jars of baby food.
WIC is a supplemental food and nutrition program which provides families with free nutritious foods.
Eligibility for the program is based on household size and income. For example, a family of four making less than $40,793 qualifies.
Those eligible to receive assistance are pregnant women, new mothers (for 6-12 months after delivery), infants and children under five-years old.

* Brazil WIC Office -- Brazil Armory (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.),
* Clay City WIC Office -- Town Hall (first and third Wednesday of each month, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.), and
* Jasonville WIC Office -- Senior Citizen Building (second Wednesday of each month, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.)
