The 2010 Focus Awards will take place Thursday, Nov. 4, at Traditions, 105 E. National Ave., Brazil.

A reception/social hour has been scheduled from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by dinner from 6:30-7:30. The awards program will begin at 7:30.

This year's event is the first to take place in Clay County since 2004. The awards program previously took place 1996-99 and 2001.

Stamper received his Bachelors of Science degree from Rose-Hulman in 1985. He earned his Masters of Science from Purdue University in 1988 and Ph.D., from the University of Maryland in 1997.

His areas of specialization include Kinematics and Design.

Stamper is also the President of Stamper Medical Technologies and has worked for General Electric and Proctor and Gamble.

Cost to attend is $20 per person or $200 for a table of eight individuals, which would also include placing an organization name in the list of sponsors.

Tickets for the event are currently available at Clay County Chamber of Commerce Office, 535 E. National Ave., Brazil, The Brazil Times, Riddell National Bank, Terre Haute Savings Bank and Ted Paris Allstate Insurance Agency, 213 E. National Ave., Brazil.
