'God Help Me Stop' program scheduled

An upcoming 12-week program with a scriptural approach is being set up to help residents overcome various addictions and compulsions.

"God Help Me Stop" is a Christian 12-step program aiming to free people who have a sincere desire to change their lives from their addictions.

The self-defeating behaviors "God Help Me Stop" will assist with include:

* alcoholism/drug addiction,

* compulsive overeating and other eating disorders,

* smoking,

* child/elder/spousal abuse,

* workaholics,

* compulsive gambling, and

* excessive worry/anger/jealousy, along with may others.

Group meetings will begin at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Brazil, and continue every Tuesday evening through the 12 weeks.
