Results from Clay County Straw Poll

Thursday, October 21, 2010

On Oct. 15, The Brazil Times launched the second of three weekly straw polls.

The polls open at 9 a.m., Friday mornings, and will close by noon, Thursday afternoons.

Those interested in voting in the non-scientific poll may do so through a link at www.thebraziltimes.com. The link has been placed on the left side at the top of the website home page.

The straw polls will be offered each week until Oct. 28. Results from each poll will be printed in Friday issues of The Brazil Times.

A straw poll or straw vote is a vote with nonbinding results.

Straw polls provide important interactive dialogue among movements within large groups, reflecting trends like organization and motivation.

The polls are not scientific. Voters are not restricted by voting eligibility in specific districts. Results are provided as entertainment -- and as an indication of voter opinion for those using The Brazil Times' website.
