She was born Aug. 1, 1912, in Crawfordsville, Ind., the daughter of Otto Havercamp and Blanche Pearl Warren Havercamp.
Her mother died when Mildred was a child and she was raised by her grandmother, Ida Evalee Davis.
She graduated from Crawfordsville High School, class of 1929.
On July 16, 1933, Mildred married Otis L. Todd.
She was a member of the Mace First United Methodist Church, near Crawfordsville. Mildred was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 8, and was also a member of the Pythian Sisters in Mace.
She has always been involved in church, teaching Sunday school, participating in Bible study or just doing whatever she could for her church family.
She has attended Bethel Methodist Church in Brazil.
Mildred enjoyed sewing, gardening, sewing craft projects for family and friends and Bingo with friends.
Survivors include her children Janis Jorgensen and husband Leonard, Brazil, Susie Burk and husband Bernie, Vevay, Marlis Hankins and husband Herbert, Lebanon, and Marlin Todd and wife Susan, Brazil, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law John Peebles, Darlington, Ind., nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Ida, husband Otis Todd, daughter Sharon Peebles, one infant brother, and brother Otto Havercamp.
Services will take place Thursday, at 11 a.m., at French Funeral Home, with Rev. Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Mace Cemetery, Mace, Ind.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., with Eastern Star service at 7.
