The final regular season poll from www.indianamarching.com was released Monday evening.
The last 2010 writer's poll was conducted live online for all four Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) classes as state finals will take place this Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Northview, which had ranked first in Class B last week, fell to third in this week's poll, receiving a total of 68 votes, including two first-place nods. But only four votes separate the top three bands in this week's poll.
Greenwood earned top honors in the final Class B poll with 72 votes and three firsts, while Jasper was second with 69 votes and two firsts.
Coming in fourth was Concord with 62 votes and one first, followed by Goshen (47 votes), Northridge (35), Floyd Central (32), North Side (27), DeKalb 18) and Bloomington North (10).
Earning honorable mention in the final Class B poll were Plainfield, New Castle Chrysler, Munster, Decatur Central and Zionsville.
In the Class D poll, Lewis Cass earned 79 votes and seven firsts for the top ranking, followed by Springs Valley with 71 votes and the remaining first-place nod.
Forest Park was third with 66 votes, followed by Paoli (55), Evansville Mater Dei (45), Orleans (31), Eastern (Greentown) and Southridge (28 votes each), North Posey (22) and Northwestern (15).
Honorable mention status went to Woodlan, Adams Central, Monrovia, Bluffton and South Spencer.
The Marching Knights will compete in the 2010 ISSMA Class B State Finals Saturday, and are scheduled to perform at 10:26 a.m.
Other Class B bands making the finals this year include Jasper, Goshen, Bloomington North, Northridge, Greenwood, Floyd Central, Concord, Northside and DeKalb.
The awards for Class B are set to begin at approximately 12:15 p.m.
Tickets for Saturday's event will be available at Northview High School Thursday and Friday morning, from 8-11 a.m.
Those interested in purchasing tickets should see Judy Horn in the high school music office.
Cost is $20 for adults and $18 for students and preschool children. Infants carried in arms and not occupying a seat will be admitted free to the event.
