McCoy "Coy" Williams

McCoy "Coy" Williams, 74, Carbon, passed away at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Brazil, Nov. 6, 2010.

He was born May 12, 1936, in Leslie County, Kentucky, the son of Loyd and Minerva (Day) Williams.

Coy worked as a Millwright for more than 30 years. He was a past member of Millwright Local 1003. He was also a member of St. Joseph Parish in Rockville, and Masonic Lodge 132 in Cloverdale.

As many may know, Coy was a recovering alcoholic and had enjoyed many years of sobriety due to Alcoholics Anonymous and his association with the good people of A.A.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, especially Coon Hunting, with many friends in the Brazil area and elsewhere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Marie Raines and Sally Wethington, and daughter Mary (Williams) Olson.

Survivors include his wife Diane Williams, brother Clete Williams, daughters Debbie Herron and husband Bobby, and Kimberly Crawford and husband Donald, both of Advance, Ind., Maria Gourley, Carbon, son Paul Greene, Eminence, Ind., grandchildren Deanna Howard, Eric Crawford, Bradley Crawford, Brittany Wilson, Mandy Parrott, George Adams Jr., Misty Gourley, and Timothy Greene, great-grandchildren Tyler Howard, Austin Riley Phillips, as well as a large extended family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Parish, Rockville, Tuesday, at 1 p.m., with Father Joe Villa officiating.

Burial will follow at Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, Ind.

Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil, Tuesday, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Masonic services will take place at 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
