Robert Joseph Moore, 83, Brazil, died at 5:45 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Exceptional Living Center, Brazil.
He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Brazil, as the son of Arthur J. and Edna R. Elliott Moore.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge.
He married Kathleen Margaret Biggs Nov. 7, 1947.
He spent his life working as a farmer on the Casassa Dairy Farm until his retirement.
He was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Annabelle Jean Herron and Rebecca Jane Evans, brother James Edward Moore, and grandson Daniel Joseph Mathis.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Moore, daughter Christina Sneddon, son Robert Moore, all of Brazil, brother Phillip (Susan) Moore, and their children Eric and Monica, Hilton Head Island, S.C., grandsons Jay (Shannon) Moore, Jon (Kellina) Moore and their children Lilyana and Annabella, Jason (Amanda) Moore and William Sameul Sneddon, nephew Dr. Geoffrey E. Moore, cousins Mary Ann Trout, Margaret E. Kennedy, Jimmie Dom Casassa, Jack Steven Casassa, Pete and Janet Breloff, James and Ann Casassa, nieces Rudy and Peggy Merryman, Robert, Debbie Judd, and David and Anita Moore, nephews Terry and Nancy Herron and Roger and Teresa Herron, and other extended family.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Moore Funeral Home.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be conducted with Military Honors at Clearview Cemetery.
