The following is a list of upcoming events provided to The Brazil Times:

Board Notice

Until further notice, the Brazil Golf Board will meet in Council Chambers at Brazil City Hall at 7 p.m., on the third Monday of each month.

The meetings are open to the public.

Paper Schedule

During the week of Thanksgiving, Nov. 22-26, The Brazil Times will publish newspapers Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Papers will not be published Tuesday, Nov. 23, and Thursday, Nov. 25.

In addition, The Times' office will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

Leaf pickup

The City of Brazil is conducting leaf pickup by section on the following days:

* Northeast section -- Friday, and Monday and Tuesday, and

* Southeast section -- Wednesday, Nov. 24, 29-30 and Dec. 1-2.

Residents are asked to rake all leaves into the street, along the curb, and remove all parked cars during these time periods to allow access for the leaf machine.

NOVEMPURRR

The Clay County Humane Shelter has launched NOVEMPURRR, for the remainder of the month.

More than 100 cats are currently housed at the shelter.

Shelter officials said for the rest of the month, residents may adopt any cats 6-months or older for $25.

Parents Night Out

Wee Luv Kids Child Care, located at State Road 59 and Airport Road, will conduct a Parents Night Out Friday, from 6-10 p.m.

Rotary Club Talk scheduled for Friday

The Brazil Rotary Club will host Coffee and Club Talk at the Brazil Coffee Company, 533 E. National Ave., Brazil, from 6-7 p.m., Friday.

Those interested in attending will receive their first cup of coffee free, courtesy of the club.

A 30-minute discussion will also take place, regarding how Rotary of Brazil serves the community. The discussion will be presented by past president Susan Thomas.

Door prizes will be drawn at the close of the meeting.

Fall Arts Show

Celebration of the Arts and Soul will host its second Annual Fall Show Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the former Masonic Temple, 201 N. Walnut St., Brazil.

This year, the charity being showcased is the Clay County Emergency Food Pantry.

Hours for the show are 6-9 p.m., Friday Nov. 19, 1-8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, and 1-6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 21.

Holiday Bazaar

The Staunton Community Center will conduct a Holiday Bazaar Saturday.

Fifteen vendors will be on hand at the event and food will be available.

Passport Fair

The Brazil Post Office will conduct a Passport Fair from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday.

Those interested in attending should bring their birth certificate and driver's license.

Food Pantry Open

The Wesley Chapel Church food pantry will be open from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday.

Bottle, Pottery Show set for Saturday

The Wabash Valley Antique Bottle and Pottery Club will present the 13th Illiana Antique Bottle and Pottery Show and Sale Saturday.

The event will take place at the Shadow Auction Barn, 1517 Maple Ave., Terre Haute.

Show hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and admission is free.

The organization will also conduct a Historical Bottle Auction at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19.
