Kenneth W. Ferrell Jr., 53, Putnam County, passed away at 11:54 p.m., Nov. 17, 2010, following a long battle with C.O.P.D.

Kenny was born May 8, 1957, in Franklin, Ind., the son of Kenneth Wayne Ferrell Sr., and Mary Jo (Schaffer) Ferrell.

Kenny was a talented mechanic. This talent created many opportunities in his life, including a career as a Mechanic Foreman for the Franklin Township Schools in Indianapolis.

Kenny married Sherry Cooper June 4, 1976.

When he was not working, Kenny could be found hunting, fishing, or spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William Keith Ferrell, and nephews Gregory E. Moore Jr.

Survivors include his wife Sherry, daughter Tresa Flake and husband C.J., grandchildren Courtney and Dustin Ferrell, sisters Vivian Guinn, Joyce Graves, Paula Botello, Eva Harry, and Wendy Mosley, brothers Kenny Beck, David Ferrell, and Tommy Collins, sister-in-law Denise C. Moore, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be at French Funeral Home, Monday, at 4 p.m., with Pastor Brian Scott officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home, Sunday, from 4-8 p.m., and again Monday, from 2-4 p.m.

At his request, cremation will be scheduled.
