Pictures With Santa
Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by The Brazil Times to have photographs taken with children and their parents, from 2-6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10.
Cost is $8 for a picture, which also gets the photograph published in the newspaper Wednesday, Dec. 15.
The cost also covers size, color, and lamination of the photograph.

The Clay County Humane Society is looking for "cat socializers" to play with cats.
Interested people may come to the Humane Society any day from noon-5 p.m.
The Shelter is located at 8280 N County Road 125 W, Brazil.
'Decorate A Door'
Cloverleaf Healthcare, Knightsville, is sponsoring its first "Decorate a Door" contest at the facility.
The holiday creativity contest is open to the public, with prizes being awarded, including a top prize of $50 for the most creative display.

The contest is set to end Monday.
Shop With A Cop
Applications for families to be considered for the annual "Shop With A Cop" program are being accepted at the Brazil City Police Department until today.
After checking applications against other local charity organizations, families selected for the program will be notified of the dates for the two-day event, which have yet to be scheduled.

Donations may also be made to support the program. Checks may be dropped by the basement office of the department or sent to Brazil City Police Department, 22 S. Washington St., Brazil, Ind., 47834.
The Community Theatre of Clay County will present Christmas At The Lark: Tis The Season, today and Saturday.
Show times are 7:20 p.m. A dinner buffet is set for 6:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $25, which includes the buffet dinner.

Share Food Signups will take place from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, at First Christian Church, 1875 W. United States 40, Brazil.
Pickup will take place from 9-10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18.
This is the last time for the service.
Holy Rosary Church in Seelyville will host a holiday bazaar Saturday, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Vendors will be at the event and a bake sale will take place. The church is located at 2597 N. Main St., Seelyville.

The Cory Zion Ladies Circle will conduct their second candy/cookie sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday.
The sale will take place in the Family Life Center at Cory Zion Church, 3476 W. CR 300 S., Cory.
Candy will be available for purchase at $5 per pound. In addition, cookies will be available for $3 per pound.
Homemade donuts will also be for sale. Coffee is free with a donut.
Tate Music Group artist Scott Harris will perform selections from his contemporary Christian album, "From Above," at the Bridgeton Baptist Church, Saturday.
The church is located on Main Street in Rockville, and is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
The Clay County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, in the lower level of the museum.
The guest speakers will be Steven and Janeece England from Staunton.
The public is invited and welcome to attend the meeting.
The Allen Memorial Planetarium will conduct a Holiday Laser Light Show Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m., and Dec. 11, at 2 p.m., 4 and 6 p.m.
Cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children 12-under.
Tickets will be sold at the door.
The planetarium is located on the property of Terre Haute South High School.

Legendary country rocker David Allen Coe will perform at the Terre Haute Indiana Theatre Dec. 10.
Doors are set to open at 7 p.m., with the performance starting at 8 p.m. All seats are reserved.

Hot Dog Day
The IBM Retirees' Organization annual hot dog day -- a day of reunion and remembrances -- will take place Dec. 12, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1550, Greencastle.
Hot dogs and all the trimmings will be served from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
IRO members may attend free of charge. Non-members and guests may attend, but will be charged $6 at the door.

The Christmas meeting for the Clay County Republican Club will be at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, at the Clay County Senior Center on South Franklin Street in Brazil.
The event will be a "cookie extravaganza" with beverages and entertainment provided.
