Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday School is at 9:30 with Church Service following at 10:30. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message.

Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Our Christmas party will be on Sunday Dec. 19 starting at 6 p.m. We will begin with a program featuring our new Children's Bell Choir, followed by a meal, treats, and possibly a visit from Santa. Everyone is invited.

Thanks to everyone who has helped install a new drop-ceiling in the back room of the church sanctuary. It's almost finished and looks great!

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m. on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month. The next Food Pantry day will be Dec. 29 (I had the date wrong last week). Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations, and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.

And in all the hectic hurrying of the holiday season, be sure to take time to remember that our Savior's Birth is the true reason for celebrating Christmas.
