Mary Ann Brunett, 80, Brazil, died at the Exceptional Living Center Dec. 11, 2010, following an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Clay County, the daughter of Paul and Loretta (Metz) Tuemler. Mary Ann graduated from Brazil High School in 1947, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Indiana State University in 1979.

Mary Ann worked for Public Service Company from 1947-1954, Sentinel Savings and Loan from 1960-1965, Eugene Weaver Law Office from 1966-1970, W.H. Grosbach Law Office from 1970-1985.

She retired from Terre Haute First National Bank in December 1997, after nearly 13 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Elsie Tuemler, brother William Tuemler and a grandson Bradley Brunett.

Mary Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law R. Scott and Glenda Brunett, Harmony, daughter and son-in-law Leigh Ann and Gary Kehrt, Brazil, grandchildren Greg (Melanie) Brunett, Nick (Brandy) Brunett, Michelle (David) Brown, Jarred White, Kreigh Kehrt, and Kaci Kehrt, great-grandchildren Gabrielle Brunett, Raegan Brown, Jaedan Brown, Carson Brown, and Logan White, sister Paula Gulbrandsen, St. Charles, Ill., and a sister-in-law Barbara Tuemler.

Services for Mary Ann will be at French Funeral Home Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brazil Public Library or the Alzheimer's Association.
