Santa Claus made several visits around Clay County during the weekend and has a few more stops to make before Christmas.
He paid a visit to Riddell National Bank Saturday to have pictures taken with children. While there, the First United Methodist Church Bell Choir, under the direction of Shaun Short, performed for the crowd. Short said this is the fifth year the choir has performed at the bank.
In addition, the Clay County Melody Makers, under the direction of Doris Pell, also performed.
Free cookies and drinks were offered to those in attendance.
Santa also stopped by the Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department during its monthly breakfast Saturday as well as Sandy's Good Books.
He has taken up residence in Forest Park and is available for photographs with children from 6-8 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, until Thursday, Dec. 23. Pictures with Santa during the visits cost $5.
In addition, he will stop by Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, to have photographs taken.
All pictures may be picked up Friday, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m.-noon.
Santa will also visit the American Legion Post 2, 1015 S. Forest Ave., Brazil, for another photograph session, from 2-4 p.m., Saturday.
Parents interested in having a picture taken should bring a camera.
