Northview JV wrestlers have big day at South Dearborn

AURORA -- The Northview junior varsity wrestling team competed in the South Dearborn Invitational on Saturday and came away with four unbeaten competitors.

No team score was kept, but the Knights got unbeaten days from Shane Ryan, Eddie Sanders, Andy Davis and Justin Sampson.

At 119 pounds, Ryan recorded three pins and two decisions, which included a double-match in round three. Both Sanders and Davis were unbeaten at 171 pounds as both wrestlers scored three pins. In the 285-pound class, Sampson recorded three pins for the Knights.

Northview's Colin Richards and Scotty McGuffin each went 3-1 on Saturday at 152 pounds with Richards scoring three falls and McGuffin adding two.

Two-match winners were Eric Timberlake at 160 and Zach Williams recording a 2-2 mark at 285.

The JV Knights will compete on Saturday at Clinton Central beginning at 10 a.m.
