She was born in Brazil, Dec. 18, 1933, to James and Mayme L. (Beatty) Cassidy.
Lois graduated from Brazil High School in 1953. Following graduation, Lois earned a beauty operator's license.
She married James Stigler May 30, 1958. He preceded her in death in July of 1984.
Lois was a member of the Peniel United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1127 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 2, Royal Neighbors of America, board member of the Mental Health Association, and the Hoosier Home Ec Club.
Lois loved Vince Gill music and "Late Night" with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno and watched "As The World Turns," until the end. She was also an avid Colts fan.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Stigler, brother John R. Cassidy, sister Ida Mary Griffin, niece Debra Jo Griffin, as well as several other extended family members.
Survivors include her brother James Cassidy and wife Lois, sister-in-law Carol Cassidy, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews as well as several close girl friends.
Services will be at French Funeral Home, Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Richard Pippin officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home, Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m.
