In all the hectic activity of this week before Christmas, be sure to take time to remember that our Savior's Birth is the true reason for celebrating Christmas.

Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheelchair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30, in the Educational Building.

Our Christmas Eve service will begin at 8 p.m., Friday. Everyone is invited to attend.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., with Church Service following at 10:30. David Brown is our pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message.

Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Happy Birthday to Elaine Brown Dec. 27, and to my wonderful granddaughter Diana Aselage Dec. 28.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month. The next food pantry day will be Dec. 29.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.

If you have news to share, you can call me at 448-1591 or send it to 4954 W. Happy Holler Rd.

All news is greatly appreciated.
