Wanda Mae (Gaut) Cook passed away Jan. 1, 2011, at 6:30 a.m., at Union Hospital.

She was born April 30, 1950, in Clay County, to Francis Gaut and Helen Lucille Cofer Gaut.

Wanda retired from CBS in 2002 after 30 years as a customer service representative.

She often enjoyed painting and taking painting classes.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Church of the Nazarene, and was the past President of the V.F.W., Brazil Post 1127.

She is survived by her twin daughters Melissa Mellon, Terre Haute, and Melinda Testor, Terre Haute, sisters Nancy Styleburg, Brazil, and Mary Williams, Greencastle, grandchildren Danielle Cook, Dakota Mellon, Alisa Thomas, Aleigh Thomas and Alezander Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Theresa Cook, and brother John Gaut.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, Thursday, Jan. 4, 2011, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m., with Rev. George Hewitt officiating.
