Robyn E. (Brush) Lain, 47, Brazil, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 16, 2011.

Robyn was born Jan. 3, 1965, in Brazil, the daughter of Ronald and Bonnie (Clark) Hughes. She graduated from West Vigo High School with the class of 1983, and later attended Indiana State University.

Following college Robyn had moved to San Antonio, Texas, where she worked as an assistant for a physician. Robyn also worked at the Robin's Nest in West Terre Haute, where she was part owner with her mother. Her favorite job, however, was being a mother.

Robyn was a member of the Prairieton United Methodist Church where she played the organ and sung in the choir.

Robyn loved animals especially bears and collected teddy bears, roosters and snowmen.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Louise and Carl Miller and Helen Brush, aunt Vivian Fisher, and great-grandparents Wilbert and Beatrice Foor.

Robyn is survived by her mother Bonnie Hughes, Brazil, husband Alan Lain, Brazil, daughter Katie Davison, Brazil (currently attending Indiana University, Bloomington), sons Gage Davison and Michael Priddy, half-sister Leigh Ann Burtin, Texas, grandfather James "Pappy" Brush, uncle Jeff Miller and wife Kim, Brazil, two nephews Bryar and Luke Miller, also of Brazil, great aunts and uncles Mary and Melvin Miller Dixie Defibaugh, Ronald and Mary Foor, Robert and Micky Foor, Glen Fisher, all of Bedford, Pa., as well as many cousins and extended family members.

Services for Robyn will be at French Funeral Home Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, from 11 a.m. until time of services.
