She was a retired Unit Manager for Reuben H. Donnelley. Betty was born March 14, 1926, in Riley, Ind., to Clarence E. Trout and Trellah P. (Jeffres) Trout.
She is survived by two sons Jeffrey Alan Coffin and his wife Teresa, Bloomfield, and Charles R. Coffin, Jr., Riley, and a daughter Tracey L. Akers and her husband Steve, Brazil, six grandchildren Michelle L. Feutz, Christina R. Coffin, Stephanie L. Coffin, Lyndsey J. Coffin, Jill A. Coffin and Charlie Coffin, and two great-grandchildren Kendyl R. Feutz and Joelie A. Feutz.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles R. Coffin, Sr., who passed away Aug. 5, 2010, and a sister Doris Mantsch.
She was a member of the Lawton-Byrum Post #972 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Lost Creek Senior Citizens and Thousand Trails.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, from 4-7 p.m., in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, and again Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, from 2-3 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at 3 p.m., in the funeral home, with Pastor Brent Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
