She was born June 7, 1920, in Brazil, as the daughter of McMillan Houston and Ruth Amelia Ericson Johnson II.
Following graduation from Brazil High School, she graduated from Indiana State Teacher's College.
During World War II, she served in the U.S. Women's Army Corps.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brazil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Patricia Helen Johnson, McMillan Houston Johnson III, and Charles R. Johnson, grandchild Betsy Jayne Calderhead, and spouses Donald Milton Pell, Raymond Bernard Buck, and Dennis Saybor.
She is survived by children Patricia Pell, Jerry (Susie) Buck, Charles (Marsha) Buck, Lelia (Larry) Anders, and Susie (Richard) Van Doren, grandchildren Robin (Jay) Singer, Chris Buck, Megan (Steve) Sprigg, Erica Buck, Mitzi (Phil) Balmaseda, Eric (Becky) Anders, Leigh-Ann (Morgan) Stripling, and Jeremiah Van Doren, 18 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide funeral services.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 31, at the First Presbyterian Church of Brazil.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, at the church, with Rev. Gary Scroggins and Pastor Richard Van Doren officiating. Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
