Church project running smooth

To the Editor:

Community Missionary Church, 21 W. Pinckley St., Brazil, is still collecting pop cans for the Haiti Rice Project For Children there at their compound of orphans that they care for.

Their meal of red beans and rice might seem like no meal to some in the U.S., but it's a lifesaver there in Haiti.

Community Church has collected these pop cans for several years, starting with former minister Wm. E. Brown and continues today with Bro. Ken Thomas and congregation spear-headed by our "can man," John Ellison.

If you have pop cans or tabs that you would like to donate toward our 58th ton, drop off at Bedwell Tire on East Main Street, or phone 442-6954, 448-2873 or you can drop off at the church, 21 W. Pinckley St., Brazil.

We collect the tabs for the McDonald House at Indianapolis and personally haul them there to serve for those having loved ones in the hospital there and to help with their cost for lodging, etc., while there. Have a few shopping bags full? Phone or come by and drop off.

You'll realize a blessing, which doesn't cost you money.

Thanks,

Marion "Sarge" Eveland,

Knightsville
