TERRE HAUTE -- The American Red Cross Wabash Valley Chapter has continued to provide emergency shelters for families whose homes remain without power.

Shelters which remain open include:

* Terre Haute North High School, and

* Presbyterian Church, 241 W. Court St., Paris, Ill.

The Chapter is prepared to open or re-open shelters in the event of additional power outages to accommodate emergency sheltering needs.

The Brazil Armory is also open during the day as a warming shelter.

Families coming to the shelters should bring identification, change of clothing, medications, blankets, pillows and toiletries. In addition, specialty items for children and infants, such as diapers, formulas and toys should be brought as well.

The American Red Cross of the Wabash Valley services Clay, Greene, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties in Indiana as well as Edgar County in Illinois.
