Born April 15, 1933, in Connersville, Ind., he was the son of Charles Hill and Addie (Cherry) Hill.
Jesse served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, and the U.S. Navy for one year. He was a computer programmer for the Eastern Express Trucking Company. He was a member of the Marine Corp League and former member of the V.F.W., a former professional bowler for several years and a member of the Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church. In his senior year at Brazil High School, he was a state cross country champion. His hobbies had included golf, college basketball and pro baseball.
Survivors include eight children, Randy Hill and wife Mary, Brazil, Tammy Jaeger and husband Pete, Terre Haute, Kathy Kellum and husband Bob, Terre Haute, Gregory Mullinix and wife Janine, Brazil, Mark Mullinix and wife Cathy, Brazil, George Korenski, Terre Haute, Matthew Korenski and wife Rita, Florida, and Joseph Korenski and wife Margaret, Terre Haute, 23 grandchildren, three siblings, Barbara Deem, Florida, Patsy Dominquez, Florida, and George Hill and wife Trisha, Alabama, several nieces, nephews and cousins. His wives Wilma (Meadows) Hill, Margaret (Woods) Hill, sons Rick Mullinix and Stanley Korenski, sister Charlotte Morris, and brother Charles Hill Jr. preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m., at the Roselawn Funeral Home. Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Dick McShanog officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The Terre Haute V.F.W. Post 972 will perform military burial rites. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church Building Fund.
