TERRE HAUTE -- Those heading to the Honey Creek Mall should be prepared to be surprised during National Random Acts of Kindness Week Feb. 14-20.
The mall will surprise shoppers with random acts of kindness to coincide with the national celebration.
During the seven-day period, volunteers from Terre Haute Humane Society and staff from the mall will show kindness upon shoppers and area residents both inside the shopping centers and out in the community in the form of free gifts.
"We are also donating to Terre Haute Humane Society to assist with care for the lost, abandoned and abused animals in the Wabash Valley," Regional Marketing Director for CBL Malls Sean Phillips said.
Through the participation of mall retailers, an array of gifts will be given away during the seven-day period. A sampling of the giveaways include gift cards from American Eagle, Buckle and Journey's, a Jawbone Bluetooth from Verizon Wireless, Honey Creek Mall Gift Cards and more.
"Partnering with CBL on this project is a wonderful way to 'pay forward' the amazing generosity of the Wabash Valley," Terre Haute Humane Society Shelter Manager Steve Brown said. "We are proud to be part of Random Acts of Kindness and look forward to bringing smiles to the community."
