Donations Being Accepted
Century 21 Hometown Realty, 1605 E. National Ave., Brazil, is currently accepting donations for a food drive for the Clay County Humane Shelter.
Those interested are encouraged to donate name brand pet food and enter for a chance to win a Walmart Gift Card.
The drive deadline has been set for Friday, Feb. 25.
Those donating food may enter for the gift card Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at the business.

The Brazil Senior Citizens Center and the Clay County Health Department have teamed together to offer diabetes education classes at the center.
The meetings will take place on the first Friday of the month at noon.
The American Legion post 2 has scheduled a meeting to take place at 7 p.m., today, at the V.F.W. Post 1127.
The Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department will conduct its monthly breakfast from 7-11 a.m., Saturday.
The menu will consist of biscuits, gravy, pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage.
Love The Library
The staff of the Brazil Public Library is inviting everyone to the facility from 1-4 p.m., Monday.
Staff will show off the facilities and introduce those in attendance to new services that are offered.
Those interested in receiving a library card should bring picture identification and a piece of current mail to apply for an account.

The Clay County Democrats will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Sisters Antiques, 123 E. National Ave., Brazil.

Dog Obedience Program Slated
The Brazil Public Library will host "Dog Obedience and Dog Bite Safety," a lecture by Jack Shannon, at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17.
No dogs are needed for the program and the lecture is free to the public.
Those interested in attending should call the library at 448-1981 for reserve seating and more information.
The Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department will host the 25th Pancake Breakfast at the Fowler Park Log Barn Saturday, Feb. 19, and Sunday, Feb. 20, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Adults will be served pancakes, sausage patties, pure maple syrup and a drink for $5. Cost for children 6-under is $2.

Lady Knights of Annunciation Church are having an Indoor Yard Sale at Kennedy's Crossing Bingo Hall, Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., to benefit church and community service projects.
