Judith A. Spence, 73, Cardonia, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at 3:40 p.m., at her home with her family by her side.

She was born Feb. 2, 1938, the daughter of David and Gertrude Cobb. She grew up in Royal Oaks, Mich.

Judy moved to Brazil in 1956, where she met and married her husband Ronald E. Spence, in May 1957.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was an excellent homemaker.

She was an avid Bible reader and a faithful member of the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 58 years.

Survivors include her husband Ron Spence, daughters Tami McGowen, Riverview, Fla., Robin Spence, Brazil, and Kari Nevins, Monroe, Utah, granddaughters Jessica Williams, Nashville, Ind., and Jennifer Wells, Center Point, as well as many niece, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Cobb and sister Clara Albright.

Private graveside services will take place for the family.

Arrangements provided by Moore Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Clearview Cemetery.
