Lewis woman arrested on drug charges

Friday, February 18, 2011

Nicki N. Moyer
A Lewis woman was recently taken into custody on various drug-related charges and helping to assist a criminal.

According to officials, Nicki N. Moyer, 22, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon and booked into the Clay County Justice Center on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and assisting a criminal.

Although details are limited due to the ongoing investigation, officials confirmed to The Brazil Times on Friday that Clay County Sheriff's Department deputies were assisting parole officers serving an arrest warrant on a parole violation for another suspect when they discovered Moyer's attempt to help the suspect.

Booked in on a $7,000 cash bond (no 10 percent allowed), Moyer remains incarcerated while awaiting further court proceedings.

I am fed up with the drugs.. I say no more court dates, no more bookings, Just shoot the trash and be done with it once and for all.. We pay for their families and children either way. Whats better a couple grand for a weekend in jail till the prosecutor plea bargains them out or a $1.50 bullet to end their crap.
