Officials made quick work of a water line break and avoided the need to issue a boil order.
Shortly after 11 a.m., Monday, the Brazil City Utilities Office sent out a notice requesting customers conserve water due to a break in an 18-inch water line.
Brazil City Water Superintendent Jake Raubuch told The Brazil Times the break occurred in the area in front of C & C Repair and Welding, 811 E. United States 40, just west of County Road 100 East.
However, workers were able to make the repairs quickly and were in the process of turning the Water Treatment Plant back online at approximately 1:20 p.m.
"We got to the break quickly and because we didn't need to drain the tower, there was no need to call for a boil order," Raubuch said.
