The following is a list of upcoming events provided to The Brazil Times:

Diabetes Classes

The Brazil Senior Citizens Center and the Clay County Health Department have teamed together to offer diabetes education classes at the center.

The meetings will take place on the first Friday of the month at noon.

School Choice Forum

Teens for Liberty Generation Joshua Club will sponsor a School Choice Forum today.

The event is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m., at North Meridian Street Church of Christ, 1524 N. Meridian St., Brazil.

The guest speaker will be Luke Messer, Executive Director for School Choice Indiana. Messer is a former state representative and currently serves as Executive Director for the Indiana Republican Party.

Make A Bird Feeder

Those interested are invited to The Brazil Public Library Thursday, for the "Make And Take Youth Program: Make Your Own Bird Feeder."

Craft supplies and an instructor will be available any time between 6-7:30 p.m.

Financial Meeting

A representative from Ivy Tech Community College will present a workshop regarding financial aid for higher education from 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday, and again from 3-6 p.m., at the LEAAP Center, 501 E. Jackson St., Brazil.

The workshop is free.

Chili Supper!

The Clay County 4-H Horse and Pony Club will conduct its annual Chili Supper and Tack Auction Friday, at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.

Chili will be served at 5 p.m., with the auction set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The meal will consist of chili, ham and beans, hot dogs, nachos, desserts and drinks.

All proceeds from the event will be used for expansion and maintenance of the horse facilities at the fairgrounds and the club's activities.

The YMCA of Clay County will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for its Strong Kids Campaign Saturday.

The event will run from 4:30-7 p.m., in the Community Room at the Y.

Advance tickets are now on sale for $7.

Tickets are available at the Y or from Silver Sneaker class members.
