Failing to appear for a trial in December, a Brazil man was recently brought back from Marion County to face allegations in an intimidation case.

According to officials, Michael P. Reffett, 34, was transported to the Clay County Justice Center Monday on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear for a jury trial in Clay Circuit Court on Dec. 15, 2010.

Reffett was supposed to stand trial in December for one count of class A misdemeanor intimidation and one class B misdemeanor harassment. The charges stem from an April 26-28, 2010, incident where Reffett allegedly sent text messages to an unidentified victim threatening to "hunt (the victim and several others) down and kill them" because the victim refused to see him.

When Reffett failed to appear in Clay Circuit Court with public defender Geoffrey Creason at the correct time, Senior Judge Diana Laviolette issued a bench warrant at the Clay County Prosecutor's Office request.

Jail officials confirmed to The Brazil Times that Reffett remains incarcerated at the facility without bond while awaiting further court proceedings.

One suggestion and one observation ..

1. Add 2 months on to whatever sentence is handed down to equal the 2 months of freedom he took.

2. Threatening someone isn't the way to get them to "see" you. Grow up, 34 year old.

DARK_STAR, I would say I only read the first couple of sentences of your post, but since it was one LONG sentence, let's just say the first two lines.

I don't want to know the Mike you know.

Darkstar... how long have you known mike? I for one bet i have known him longer than you have.

Good man? He has at least 7 children that we know of and does not support a one of them... his ex wife fled to get away from him with his oldest child.

Mikes M.O. since he was a small child was intimidation.

If anyone needs to grow up and get a job its Mike.

Come back in a couple of years and talk to us about Mike when you have a clue.
