TERRE HAUTE -- The United Way of the Wabash Valley announced Thursday its 2011-12 Campaign Cabinet Chair will be Bernice Helman of Coldwell Banker Troy Helman Realtors.
The chair will lead the Campaign Cabinet members throughout the 2011-12 campaign season.
"We are very fortunate to have Bernice, with her exceptional leadership and history of community involvement and philanthropic support, to head this year's campaign," United Way Executive Director Troy Fears said. "We look forward to her leadership, which will ensure that the United Way continues to work hard to make our community a better place."
Helman is the Vice President of Coldwell Banker Troy Helman Realtors. She has been a realtor since 2008 and worked in the real estate finance industry for 25 years.
An active leader in the community, she is affiliated with many civic and philanthropic organizations.
She serves on the United Way Board of Directors, Harsha Behavior Center and Savera Geriatric Care Center Board of Directors, Terre Haute Area Association of Realtors Board of Directors, Member of the Greater Terre Haute Home Builders Association and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Leadership Advisory Council.
"I look forward to continuing the success and momentum of the 2010 campaign as we begin the 2011 campaign," she said. "We are anxious to assess the need in our community and look forward to uniting the Wabash Valley for a common cause."
