Weather watchers!
Clay County resident and WTHI News-10 Meteorologist David Wire visited Jackson Township Elementary School's first-grade Thursday. While there, he discussed weather safety. Students also learned about tornados, hail, snow and lightening during the discussion. Wire allowed the students to guide his speech with questions. Wire captivated the students by using age appropriate analogies to explain weather patterns, including spinning a basketball to imitate the rotation of a tornado.
