The Clay City High School, North Clay Middle School and Northview winter guard units all continued competition this weekend.
Both Clay City and North Clay took part in the Indiana High School Color Guard Association (IHSCGA) Divisional Finals at Center Grove High School Saturday, while the Northview squad competed in the Winter Guard International Dayton Regional in Dayton, Ohio.
Competing in Cadet Class, North Clay finished with a Gold Rating.
To score a Gold, teams had to score 60 or above.
Other squads receiving Gold ratings included Center Grove Cadet, Maconaquah, Lawrence Central, North Putnam, Hamilton Southeastern, Avon, Zionsville, Greenfield-Central, Warren Central, Martinsville and Taylor.
Both Morristown and New Castle came away with Silver ratings.
In the Regional A competition, Clay City received a Silver rating. To earn Silver rating, teams had to score between 62.05 and 76.95.
Other Silver ratings went to Muncie Central, North Putnam, Frankton, Crown Point, Goshen, East Central, Anderson, Brownsburg, Centerville, Heritage, Franklin Community, Wabash, Columbus East, Bremen, Manchester, Cloverdale, Columbia City, Tipton, Brown County, Lakeland, Adams Central and New Castle.
Southport, Monroe Central, Clinton Prairie, Rensselaer Central, Columbus North, Crawfordsville and Jay County all received Gold ratings.
Indian Creek received a Bronze rating.
The Northview Winter Guard was scheduled to compete in the Scholastic World Division at the Dayton Regional, along with Avon, Carmel, Center Grove, Centerville, Lawrence Central, Marian Catholic, Miamisburg, Norwin, Trumbull and Warren Central.
Results were not known at press time.
