SPENCER -- North Clay split a pair of road games against Owen Valley on Tuesday evening as the eighth-grade posted a 36-20 victory and the seventh-grade fell by a 20-2 score.
The eighth-grade squad raised its overall record to 11-1 this season with the road victory and got 11 points and six rebounds from McKenzi Kumpf and seven points to go with five boards from Whitney Halfhill. Mikayla Rowan added 10 points with three rebounds for the Knights and Emily Conrad contributed two points and three boards. Abbey Timberman provided the Knights with a team-high seven rebounds along with five points and Mallory Smith added one point.
In the seventh-grade contest, Faith Wells scored the lone basket for North Clay.
The seventh-grade will play its final game of the season tonight at home against Greencastle beginning at 6 p.m. The eighth-grade will hit the road to face the Tiger Cubs at 6 p.m. in its final game of the season.
