She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Clay County, the daughter of Frank and Flora Ellen Cox Nevins.
She married Hugh Clinton Anderson. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1982.
Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brazil and the Ladies Sunshine Club at the church.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Wayne Anderson, and five siblings, Marion "Toot" Nevins, Pete Nevins, Lester Nevins, Eldon Nevins and James Nevins.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Larry and Judy Anderson, and a daughter and son-in-law Katrina and Howard Hughes, four grandchildren Eric Anderson, Aaron Hughes, Andy Hughes and wife Amber and Abby Hughes, two great-granddaughters Ashley and Libby Hughes and their mother Lori Hughes, a brother Bill and wife Dorothy Nevins, two sisters-in-law Evelyn Nevins and Maxine Nevins as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Services will be held at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Howard Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday, from 4-8 p.m., and again Sunday from noon until time of services. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Serving on the Streets, PO Box 783, Brazil, Ind., 47834.
