She was preceded in death by her parents William T. and Josephine Ramsey. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Phyllis had worked as a cashier at the Road Ranger and BP Truck Stops in Brazil. Survivors include her sons David Vaughn Sr., Tony (Tammy) Vaughn, Shane (Sandy) Vaughn, daughter Lema (Shawn) Wright, sisters Pearl (Thelba) Winchester, Pauline Hatfield, JoAnn Marsee, Betty Johnson, Patty (Roger) Moran, Doris (Jeff) Bell, brother Ronnie Ramsey, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services for Phyllis are 1 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the Usher Funeral Home, Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
