Ruth Naomi Miller, 104, lifelong resident of Brazil, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville.

She was born in Brazil Feb. 1, 1907, as the daughter of Charles P. and Mary Louise Lorenze.

She graduated from Brazil High School.

On June 12, 1927, she married Kenneth C. Miller, who preceded her in death May 11, 1981.

She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority, Shakespeare Club, Kee-Wana, Elks Club and an original member of the Saddle Club.

She served on the Brazil Library Board for several years. She loved to paint oil landscapes, ceramic work and enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and reading. She also loved to play the piano.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, her only daughter Kathleen S. Trimm, granddaughter Paula Trimm Ballard, and brothers Dan and Max Lorenze.

She is survived by son-in-law Bill Trimm, Jefferson City, Mo., granddaughters Billie Barnett, Tulsa, Okla., and Linda Karcher, Houston, Texas, sister Helen Ecker, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and great-grandchildren Adrianne Barnett, Allison Barnett, Kaitlin Karcher and Andrew Karcher.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Monday, March 21, at Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, with burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery.
