Cub Scout Pack 45 Annual Blue and Gold Banquet

The Cub Scout pack 45 held their annual Blue and Gold Banquet and advancement awards ceremony on March 12, 2011.

A delicious meal of ham and all of the trimmings were enjoyed by the cub scouts, leaders, assistance leaders along with family members of the scouts and with Bob Bigley from the local VFW post, the charter supporter of the pack 45 and Ron Hofmann, the retiring scout leader.

Awards for the evening were:

Tiger cubs Jacob Baskin, Mason Shorter, Hunter Stearley and Eli Whittle were advanced to the rank of Wolf.

Wolf cubs Donavon Cunduff, Austin Floyd and Colin Lundy were advanced to the rank of Bear.

Bear cubs Larry Bass, Gavin Letourneau, Tristin Smith, Peyton Walters and Kailber White were advanced to first year Webelos.

Cameron Pund advanced from first to second year Webelo.

Jordan Delaplane earned the Arrow of Light award the highest award of Cub Scouts and was able to cross over to Boy Scouts to work toward earning his Eagle Scout Rank.

Jeff Pund is the Cub Master of Pack 45. His assistants are Rich White, Joe Zimmerman and Kelly Lundy.

Camp and field trip advisors are Michelle Pund, Rita Walters and Roberta White.

Future events scheduled for the Cub Scouts are to attend the State Pinewood Derby race in Indianapolis on April 2. A train ride through southern Indiana is planned for April 16.

Damp camp will be June 13-17 at Camp Wildwood in Terre Haute.

Any boy in first grade or seven years old is eligible to become a Cub Scout. For more information, contact Jeff Pund.

Pack 45 meets on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at the Family Worship Center community room, US40 and CR 425 West.
