Thelma Kay Keyt, 68, Bainbridge, passed away Saturday morning at Mill Pond Health Center in Greencastle.
She was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Bainbridge, Ind., to Maurice Gibbs and Delores "Nancy" Gibbs Berry.
She attended Bainbridge High School. She retired in 2009 from Lithonia Lighting in Crawfordsville. She also worked at P.R. Mallory's in Greencastle.
She was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church.
She married Larry Keyt in 1969 and he survives.
Also surviving are her daughter Tamera Gatlin, Bainbridge, brothers David "Bonnie" Gibbs, Bainbridge, and Danny "Debbie" Gibbs, Ladoga, sister Nina "Ray" Boller, Bainbridge, stepchildren Tim, Russ and Christy Keyt, Brazil, Tony of Bloomington, and Jamie Doub, Danville, Ind., stepsister Virginia Washburn, Terre Haute, sisters-in-law Debra "Bill" Perkins, Roachdale, and Jeannie Sommers, Knightsville, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She also touched the lives of many who called her mom, grandma Kay and sister.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Travis, and stepsister Patsy King.
Services will take place Thursday, April 7, at 2 p.m., in the Bainbridge Community Building on Pat Rady Way.
Friends may call at the Servies and Morgan Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 6. Burial will be in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
