I am Brian Wyndham, candidate for Mayor of the City of Brazil.

I am a lifelong resident of Clay County.

I graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1975.

Soon after, I worked for Brazil Coal and Clay Corporation for a period of 10 years.

I then became involved with the family insurance business with my mother, Frances Wyndham Bieker, and my brother Larry Wyndham.

Since that time, we have expanded our business to include Wyndham Bros. Auction Company, concessions and rental properties.

My community activities have included Past President of the Brazil Municipal Golf Board, Clay County Redevelopment Commission, Farm Bureau member, Eagles Lodge and currently, I am serving on the Clay County Council.

As a full-time mayor, I pledge to publicly represent our city with the utmost respect to the office of mayor.

I will hold the public trust of the people in the highest regard. There will be an open door policy to accommodate the concerns of our citizens.

My priority goals are to create a sound financial plan to utilize our budget for street repair along with utility improvements.

I believe with strategic spending of the city's resources, Brazil can be physically improved and financially sound.

As an entrepreneur, along with 30 years of business experience, I feel confident I'm qualified for the task at hand.

My wife, Connie, and I have been married for 30 years and have a son, Roy, who is employed by Duke Energy.

Connie is a 19-year employee for Walmart in Brazil.

My family includes my mother Frances, stepfather Bill Bieker, brothers Randy and Sally Wyndham, Larry and Becki Wyndham and Tate and Jody Wyndham.

I look forward to the challenge of serving as your mayor.

I appreciate your support in the upcoming election.
