SPENCER -- The Northview 'B' baseball team brought out their thumping sticks Monday night at Owen Valley.
The Knights pounded out a 24-hit attack, including a pair of grand slams on the way to a 31-1 romp over the Patriots.
Northview scored in each of the five innings, including 19 runs over the first two innings of the victory that improved them to 3-2 overall.
Dan Reberger smacked a pair of home runs, including a grandslam and a double in a six RBI game and Bryant Pestoff also drilled a grand slam for the Knights. Tanner Glenn and Brock Smith also homered for Northview with Glenn piling up four RBI in a 3-for-4 game and Smith drove in three runs with two hits.
The hit parade continued for the Knights as Conner Ganly went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBI, Devin Clark and Craig Peters were each 3-for-4. Peters had a double and four runs driven in for the Knights.
On the mound, Brock Wheeler went 3 1/3 innings, allowed three hits, one run, walked a batter and struck out seven. Coleman Craig pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed one hit and Trevor Hetrick struck out one in an inning of work.
The Knights (3-2 overall) play Thursday evening at home in a 5 p.m. doubleheader against Terre Haute South.
