Addie N. "Peggy" Farris, 87, Brazil, passed away at the Exceptional Living Center of Brazil, April 21, 2011, following an extended illness.

She was born in Tennessee March 4, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Kidwell) Thompson.

She graduated from Pleasant Hill Academy in Tennessee. She had worked as a bartender and waitress throughout her life, however, the job she was most proud of was being a mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Ronald Lynn Cormican, and a daughter, Sharon Elaine White.

She is survived by daughters Judy Diane Black (Rick Hester), Harmony, Rita Marlene Lucas (Melvin), Knox, Ind., and Rebecca Lynne Guy (Steve), Knox, Ind., son Billy Wayne Cormican (Mary Hardman), Brazil, 11 grandkids, 18 great-grandkids and 1 one great-great-grandkid.

Services will be at French Funeral Home, Brazil, Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Bill Price officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday, from 11 a.m., until time of services.
