On Jan. 29, 2010, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia. She has had a very rough road with treatment. Every possible rare side effect to medicine and chemo she has had, from seizures to brain bleeds. Through all of this, she has been strong, she doesn't complain. She is an inspiration.
Every medicinal effort has been exhausted to save her. Her body is rejecting the treatment.
To help Mercedes, dog tag necklaces have been made. This will allow everyone to carry a piece of her around and be apart of her crew. All the money made will go toward Mercedes treatments, currently at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent. Cost is $5, and are available at Auto ER, 804 West National Ave., Brazil, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Cards of encouragement and support may also be dropped off at Auto ER, and will be delivered to Mercedes.
